:::: { The Great War } ::::

For as long as the sun has shined onto the planet Terra, the Azure and Crimson kingdoms have been at odds. With the hope of finally achieving true peace, the kings and queens agreed to wed their son and daughter, Prince Orion of Azure and Princess Lia of Crimson.

Only days before the ceremony, Princess Lia was found dead in her room, a dagger sticking out of her chest. The first suspect was Prince Orion and, essentially, the entire kingdom of Azure. Without hesitation, and without a desire for trial, the king and queen of Crimson vowed vengeance and declared war against Azure.

With hopes of winning the war, both Azure and Crimson turned to the brilliant scientists of Citrine. It was kept secret, as much as possible at the time, and Citrine created super soldiers for both nations. These soldiers, either willing or otherwise, were regular humans, some well-trained soldiers and some normal citizens, spliced with pokemon DNA with the goal of creating unique pokemorphs that could win the war. What they got was something incredible and they called them chimaera.

These super soldiers, alongside many pokemon, stormed the battlefield during the 3 nights of agony. Three, very long days of hours upon hours of dueling, battling, and carnage between the two nations. Thousands upon thousands of humans, chimaera, and pokemon alive would spill their blood and lose their lives.

Prince Orion, who was innocent of the crime and loved Princess Lia, could no longer stand it. He walked along the battlefield, tears falling from his eyes, and submitted to the generals of Crimson. Only a few days later was Prince Orion beheaded in the streets. Most people would believe that he killed Princess Lia to avoid marrying her, others believe he was innocent and murdered in cold blood by the Crimson Kingdom. It all depends on who you ask.

One thing remains true: nothing can undo what has been done.

:::: { The Revolution } ::::

Most of the chimaera had been forced to fight on the battlefield, some were lucky enough to escape. After the war had come to a very unsettling end, the scientists who created the chimaera disappeared. The majority of them changed their names and appearances and moved to new cities in order to avoid detection. Few of them had to face trials and even fewer were actually punished.

The chimaera who survived the ordeal have been treated as murders and outcasts. Those who are not publicly known are able to survive in hiding. Some are wanted criminals, believed to be murderers. Few dare to consider them victims of war.

One chimaera is creating an army to fight for the freedom of all chimaera. Nero, his original name unknown, is a powerful and fierce chimaera. He was spliced with the rare DNA of Entei and is willing to use his great power by whatever means necessary to gain independence for all chimaera. His message to the world is as follows...

"We are the tarnished blades, the scorn of our society. They created us to fight their battles and tossed us aside as though we were as low as their waste. I will show them the error of their ways and teach them the true definition of power! Join me brothers so that we may claim our rightful place in this world. We are no longer man, never quite a Pokemon, but something in between... something far more powerful."

:::: { Conquering the Chimaeras } ::::

Fearing that the chimaeras would return and cause problems, the government of Crimson ordered a specialized army to prepare in case such a situation were to ever occur. They chose the powerful Sergeant Carissa Devereaux to lead this group of specialized soldiers.

Carissa, however, took it to a whole other level entirely. Believing that a chimaera revolution is on the horizon, Carissa is building an army to fight against them. She is even sending out small troops to locate, capture, and annihilate any and all chimaera that they can locate. She believes they are unpredictable and dangerous and must be stopped, at all costs.
