:::: { Leveling & Chimaera Guide } ::::
This thread is to, hopefully, answer all and any questions you might have about chimaeras. To begin, let's talk about what chimaers are...
A chimaera is a person who was once human, but has been genetically modified and enhanced to contain spliced pokemon DNA. Chimaera are, basically, pokemorphs. They appear human but are able to transform into pokemon and use pokemon abilities.
During the early stages of the war, scientists from Citrine only used willing test subjects that were soldiers eager and willing to perfect themselves for the battlefield. Very quickly, they ran out of willing test subjects and resorted to kidnapping anyone who appeared healthy enough to survive the transformation.
The survival rate for chimaera is 55%, meaning that 45% of their test subjects died within a week after the tests were complete.
Here is some information about chimaera leveling & battling:♦ All chimaera can understand all pokemon languages and speech flawlessly.
♦ Chimaera are not affected by pokemon stages and cannot evolve. For example, if an evil scientist used metapod DNA, then your character is a metapod chimaera. They will never be able to evolve or change.
♦ Chimaera may choose only one ability (passive ability), so long as it fits with the pokemon. For example, a pikachu could not make it rain.
♦ Transforming and using powers can be stressful and difficult for chimaeras, especially if they are lower levels.
♦ Something to consider: if the chimaera's pokemon is something much larger than a normal human, such as a gyrados or onix, the transformation will be much more stressful.
♦ Any chimaera below level 8 can only transform once everyday and even less often if they are young. During this level, chimaera can only perform full transformations, not partials.
♦ After chimaera hit level 11, they can transform as often as their energy and strength allows and can perform partial transformations: such as a rapidash chimaera turning their hair into a blazing mane, or a geodude chimaera turning one arm into a rock fist, or a pikachu chimaera growing out some ears and a tail.
♦ Typically, transformations are exhausting for chimaera and can take several seconds to complete. After level 14, chimaera can transform within the blink of an eye and are able to do so whilst consuming less energy.
♦ Chimaera can use pokemon moves, so long as they are the correct level. They can only use moves while in their full form.
♦ After level 20, chimaera can use their moves while in human or partial form. This is not limited to breathing fire or flying.

What does the chimaera transformation look like?
When chimaera transform back and forth between their human and pokemon selves, their bodies must bend and break to shape into the new form. This transformation is not as simple as the pokemon evolution, when they turn red and shift into their new form. Chimaera's bodies undergo great stress to transform. The process is very painful for young chimaera. As they level up and grow stronger, the transformation becomes smoother, less painful, and easier to accomplish.
Please note, all chimaera should carry plenty of spare clothes, or at least undress before transforming. We are taking a more literal approach where their clothes can and will be damaged if they are not careful! The clothes will not magically appear when they go back to human form.
Another thing to consider is the after effects. Chimaera will be blessed with plenty of scars, stretch marks, and other such evidence of their transformation. For example, a chimaera that turns into a charizard will have horrible scars on their back and lower spine, evidence of the growth of a tail and wings.
:::: { Chimaera Offspring } ::::
Please note, at the moment, all chimaera characters must have been made in a lab! Chimaera Offspring, or characters who have one or two chimaera parents, will be available in the future, after the forum has grown!
